PM’s Envoy: Nico Halle Remains An Asset To Nation-Building

The representative of the Prime Minister, Head of Government, HRM Agbor Ambang Ako, has praised Nico Halle for his commitment to nation-building, describing him as a multifaceted personality whose contributions to human rights, peace, integrity and public values have earned him recognition.

Speaking during a visit to Nico Halle’s Award Gallery, HRM Agbor Ambang Ako said the initiative reflects years of dedication, experience and commitment to preserving history, celebrating achievements and inspiring future generations.

He stressed that personalities must be judged within their proper context, noting that Nico Halle’s interventions on governance, society and public affairs should not be misunderstood.

According to him, throughout history, societies have benefited from voices that challenge, question and encourage improvement.

“Nico Halle is a multifaceted personality whose contributions to society go beyond one particular area,” HRM Agbor Ambang Ako stated.

He explained that raising concerns about societal issues does not necessarily mean opposition but can represent the responsibility of citizens who remind society of its values.

Promoting Republican Values And Public Service

The Prime Minister’s representative said the values promoted by Nico Halle align with important republican principles reflected in government policy.

He highlighted the defence of human rights and public freedoms, the fight against corruption, the promotion of peace and the preservation of national unity as values that continue to guide Cameroon’s development.

Under the leadership of the Head of State, President Paul Biya, HRM Agbor Ambang Ako said Cameroon continues to promote these principles as part of efforts to strengthen national cohesion.

He noted that Nico Halle has distinguished himself through his commitment to defending human rights, fighting corruption and promoting peace and national unity.

“These commitments have earned him recognition both nationally and internationally,” he said.

HRM Agbor Ambang Ako described the visit as an encouragement not only to Nico Halle but also to other citizens who dedicate themselves to serving society.

He stressed that nation-building requires the collective contribution of all sectors, including government institutions, civil society, academics, journalists, professionals and ordinary citizens.

“Every Cameroonian who contributes positively to society deserves recognition,” he stated.

Nico Halle’s Award Gallery Reflects History And Commitment

HRM Agbor Ambang Ako described Nico Halle’s Award Gallery as a remarkable achievement that reflects years of dedication, commitment and service to society.

He said the Award Gallery goes beyond a collection of awards and historical items, describing it as a reflection of experience, achievements and a desire to preserve memories for future generations.

“What we see here is not simply a collection of items; it is a reflection of history, experience and commitment,” he said.

According to him, visiting the Award Gallery provides a deeper appreciation of Nico Halle’s journey and contributions than simply observing from a distance.

“Sometimes, when you observe something from a distance, you may not fully appreciate its importance. But when you come personally and see it, the impact is different,” HRM Agbor Ambang Ako noted.

He added that experienced personalities who have served society remain valuable assets to their countries even after leaving official positions.

“Experience cannot be acquired only in classrooms. Academic qualifications are important, but experience gathered over years of service is equally valuable,” he stated.

Prime Minister Recognises Nico Halle’s Contribution

HRM Agbor Ambang Ako said the Prime Minister, Head of Government, appreciates the values represented by Nico Halle’s work.

He said principles such as patriotism, peace, justice, integrity, good governance and service to society remain essential for national development.

According to him, the recognition accorded to Nico Halle should encourage other Cameroonians to dedicate themselves to making positive contributions towards the country.

He urged citizens to use their abilities, experiences and platforms to promote unity and development.

Nico Halle: “The Law Of Love Is Greater Than Any Constitution”

For his part, Nico Halle used the occasion to emphasise the importance of love, justice, truth and forgiveness in addressing challenges facing society.

He said the absence of love among people and nations remains one of the greatest causes of conflict and division.

“The law of love has no place when we do not love one another, and we do not even love our nation,” he said.

According to him, peace cannot exist without justice, adding that love must go together with equity, accountability, transparency, integrity and dignity.

“Take away love, and nothing can happen positively among people,” Nico Halle stated.

He said there is a law greater than any constitution in the world — the law of love — which can help societies overcome hatred, division and conflict.

Nico Halle called on Cameroonians to embrace forgiveness and reconciliation, stressing that sustainable peace requires humility and the willingness to acknowledge mistakes.

Service Beyond Politics

Nico Halle said his actions over the years have not been motivated by political ambition or personal interests but by a desire to serve his country and humanity.

“I have no political ambition. I do not belong to any political party. I do not seek personal recognition or compensation,” he said.

He explained that his commitment to public service has required sacrifices, including his resources, family time and professional comfort.

“I have sacrificed my resources, my family, my life and my profession for this nation and beyond,” he stated.

He challenged citizens to reflect on their responsibilities towards society.

“When God sends you to serve this nation, what is your legacy?” he asked.

Media Must Remain Committed To Truth

Nico Halle also highlighted the role of the media in shaping society, urging journalists to remain committed to truth.

“Journalists must go to those who will tell the truth,” he said.

He encouraged media practitioners to continue informing the public with honesty and professionalism.

“Even if you are criticised, continue to tell the truth because the truth will set you free,” he added.

Nico Halle appreciated journalists who expose corruption, highlight societal challenges and contribute to public debate.

He particularly acknowledged media efforts in addressing corruption, tribalism, xenophobia and other practices that threaten social cohesion.

Call For Truth, Unity And Love

Nico Halle called on Cameroonians to uphold truth, unity and love, stressing that these values remain essential for building a peaceful and prosperous society.

“Love comes with justice. Where there is love, there is equity, accountability and transparency. That is what we call integrity and dignity,” he said.

He encouraged citizens to reflect on the legacy they want to leave behind, saying service to humanity should remain a priority.

Nico Halle said his work is guided by faith, conviction and the desire to contribute positively to Cameroon and humanity.

“I continue to move forward because I know God is with me in what I am doing,” he said.

The visit by HRM Agbor Ambang Ako, representative of the Prime Minister, Head of Government, to Nico Halle’s Award Gallery highlighted national values, preservation of achievements and citizen participation in development.

The occasion ended with renewed calls for truth, love, unity and collective responsibility in strengthening Cameroon’s future.
