Ivorian singer Josey and former football international Serey Dié are now officially husband and wife, following years of public speculation and intense media attention surrounding their relationship.

The couple recently unveiled their traditional wedding attire, symbolising their union in line with Côte d’Ivoire’s rich matrimonial customs. The outfits, marked by elegant and culturally inspired designs, reflect the cultural significance of traditional marriage ceremonies in Ivorian society.

Their union follows a widely publicised engagement that took place on April 6, 2026, at the Félix Houphouët-Boigny International Airport in Abidjan, where Serey Dié proposed to the singer in a surprise moment that quickly went viral on social media.

The proposal featured a custom-designed “Entourage” ring in rose gold, adorned with a central diamond and smaller surrounding stones, reportedly purchased from a Swiss jeweller for an estimated 2,290 Swiss francs (about 1.56 million FCFA).

The announcement puts an end to years of speculation regarding the status of their relationship, which has long remained in the public eye. The couple, both prominent figures in their respective fields, share two children together.

Serey Dié has previously stated in media interviews that he is the father of eight children from different relationships. According to remarks widely circulated on social media and entertainment platforms, the former Ivorian national team captain has five children with his legal wife, Aline, two with Josey, and one son with a former partner identified as Dolina, who reportedly resides in Paris.

Known for frequently sharing family moments on social media, the former footballer has often described fatherhood as an important part of his life.

Beyond their personal relationship, Serey Dié, a former captain of the Ivorian national team, has also been linked to Josey’s professional musical activities in recent years.

Their union marks a new chapter for two of Côte d’Ivoire’s most followed public figures, closing a long and closely watched love story.
