Over two months after the 7.9 magnitude degree earthquake that struck Turkey, President Paul Biya has donated 600 million fcfa, 1 million USD as aid to earthquake v!ctims in Turkey.
This was issued by the Minister of Territorial Administration, Atanga Nji Paul, during an audience granted to him by Turkey’s Minister of Interior Affairs, Süleyman Soylu in Ankara on April 11th.
According to official sources, the earthquake k!lled about 46,000 persons (whose bodies were found) and !njured 105,000 persons with over 214,000 buildings destroyed.
