the communique issued by the prime minister under the instruction of the head of state his excellency president Paul Biya with regards to the closing schedule of public schools and offices inorder to boast attendance at the stadia during African cup of nations games, the positive impact of this communique could be seen as stadium attendance soared yesterday in Douala and Limbe where final group stage games for the African cup of nations were played.
In Limbe the attendance was massive as many people were present at the Limbe omnisport stadium to follow matches played especially Sierra Leone and equatorial guinea.
Same attendance was noticed at the japoma stadium as massive population turned out, to watch the match between Cote D’Ivoire and Algeria.
The governor of the south west region Bernard Okalia Bilai has reiterated that the respect of the new presidential instruction on public schools and work schedule must be respected across his area of command. Saying that president Paul Biya ordered the move to help step up the attendance at matches of the 33rd edition of the Total energies African cup of nations, ongoing in Cameroon
Meanwhile governor Samuel Dieudonne Ivaha Diboua of the litoral region was also present at the japoma stadium to watch the encounter between Cote D’Ivoire and Algeria where there was also a massive part of the population.
In this light, governors Okalia Bilai and Samuel Dieudonne Ivaha Diboua has instructed senior divisional officers, divisional officers, delegates and heads of public institution in their various regions.
