The Cameroon inclusive child eye health hospital , The Presbyterian Paediatric Eye Hospital-Acha Limbe has been inaugurated. The Modern facility was inaugurated July 10, 2021 by the moderator of the Presbyterian Church in Cameroon.
The moderator of the PCC says though the hospital is set aside for children, there is also a general section that will serve the Public.
The magnificent facility worth close to a billion franc FCA is the fruit of a partnership between the PCC and some strategic partners like Christian Blind Mission, CBM.
Julius Niba Fon, the Country director of Christian blind mission, CBM, one of the main partners of the imposing facility says the quality of the services offered at the new hospital of world standard.
The hospital in the days ahead will be fully equipped with state of the art equipment for opthalmic care with particular focus on Children. In prelude to its inauguration, the hospital has already trained 20GPs, 10 community pharmacists, 40 eye nurses , 40 midwives, 10Opthalmologists on paediatric eye care most of them coming from private and Government hospitals and field coordinators who are expected to go into the hinterlands where children with eye problems could be identified and brought to the hospital.
