Cameroon: Alleged Homosexuals Sentenced to 5 Years Imprisonment

A court (Court of First Instance) in Bonanjo Douala Cameroon has sentenced NJEUKAM LOIC MIDREL alias Shakiro and MOUTHE ROLAND alias Patricia to 5 years imprisonment and a fine of 200,000frs each with cost of 29,300frs. They were prosecuted for attempted homosexuality, public indecency and non possession of national identity card. If they don’t pay the financial obligations according to sources, they will be constrained to serve an additional 12 months imprisonment term. Parties have ten days to file an appeal. LKI
