The second batch of Nigerian refugees who fled Boko Haram insurgency have regained their homeland this 15th day of March 2021.

This second batch of voluntary returnees consisting of 369 refugees spent six years in Cameroon’ s Minawao refugee camp.

Boarded in 13 buses in strict respect of the anti covid-19 barrier measure, the governor of the Far North region of Cameroon Midjiyawa Bakary told the press shortly before their take off for Nigeria that all the necessary security measures have been put in place by Cameroonian authorities for a successful journey.
