SDF Littoral Regional President Reacts To MPs’ Letter To US Congress

Cameroon

Firebrand SDF member of parliament for the WOURI JEAN MICHEL NINTCHEU has chastised a group of parliamentarians who recently wrote a petition to the united states congressmen on their remarks on the ongoing armed conflict in the northwest and southwest regions.
In a lengthy write up signed yesterday by the SDF littoral regional coordinator, he criticized some SDF comrades for signing the correspondence which he says might fan violence in the restive regions, honourable NINCTHEU outlined the efforts of his party since 2016 in pushing the parliaments to include the Anglophone problem as one of the agendas in any sessions.
The outspoken parliamentarian shamed some of his colleagues who before now had frowned at the moves of the SDF in parliament for creating awareness about the ongoing conflict. In the meantime.
Worthy of note is the fact that honourable NINCHEU’S reaction is coming days after 62 parliamentarians jointly signed a memo to the US congress express their dissatisfaction with their remarks of Cameroon.
The US Congress last February 17 had written to the US president JOE BIDEN soliciting him to secure a temporary protected status or differed enforced departure to some Cameroonians scheduled for deportation from the USA.
Replying to the remarks and the letter sent to the US president, Cameroon MP’S rejected their views, describing it as unfriendly derogatory and see it as an attempt to tarnish the image of Cameroon and also to mislead the public opinion.
