
Some 500 Internally Displaced Persons of the anglophone crisis from the North West and South seeking refuge in Yaounde have received humanitarian aid from president Paul Biya worth 600M. The items consist of basic necessities, foodstuffs and bedding equipments . They were distributed to IDPs in Yaounde, Yesterday December 21, 2020 at the esplanade of the Yaounde City Council. The minister of territorial administration Paul Atanga Nji with officials of the Department of Civil Protection, Governor of Center Region Naseri Paul Bea and Administrative Officials of Mfoundi supervised the distribution exercise. At the end of the distribution exercise Paul Atanga Nji said the gesture from the president is a clear proof that the Head of State has thought of them during this end of year festivities and is always attached to those in difficulties. Each of the beneficiary left the council with a set of complete items in addition to cash for transportation. The IDPs at the end appreciated the gesture of the Head of State and said though they are living in Yaounde peacefully they hope to return back home. The same exercise is expected in the North West, and South West Regions as well as other Regions hosting IDPs
