President Paul Biya has ordered for the disbursement of gifts worth CFA 600 Million to some Internally displaced persons during this festivities. President Biya made the decision known today.
This is not the first time that president Biya is extending his largesse to IDPs in Cameroon. In June 2018, President paul Biya ordered that a 12.7 billion humanitarian relief fund be set up for same purpose; But observers have argued that it is a misplaced priority as many according to them had never benefitted from the fund.
