Bar. Tamfu and Maître Colleague Sentenced to 6 months

A court in the littoral region of Cameroon has found Bar. Tamfu Richard, member of Nigerian and Cameroon Bar associations guilty of group rebellion, insult of a judge , assault on police officers and destruction of public properties. Bar. Tamfu and his colleague were slammed a 6 month suspended sentence for 3 years with a fine of 100 000frs cfa.

What does suspended sentence mean?

This means Bar. Tamfu Richard and colleague will not serve the 6 months jail term unless further criminal offences are brought forth against them within this time period.

Bar. Tamfu and colleague will be going home immediately they pay the 100 000frs CFA demanded by the Bonanjo court of first instance.
