In prelude to the upcoming football season in Cameroon,newly-promoted Elite One club Astres football Club of Douala ,have completed the signing of 26-year-old forward Leon Boyomo on a two-year-deal.
The 2019-2020 Cameroon Elite One winner and lead goalscorer joined the Brazilians of Bepanda on Thursday September 3, upon completion of medical formalities.
A Club source stated that he joins the club as a free agent though that doesn’t mean he didn’t get a financial compensation.
Boyomo is Astres’ sixth signing of this tranfer window.
The striker break his own records last season at PWD of Bamenda, scoring in seven Elite One games in a row, recorded the first hat trick of the season and winning his first career golden boot with his 11 goals.
The striker will provide options for coach Anicet Mbarga Foe, when the new season gets underway in October everything being equal.
