Prime Minister Fumes at Relaxation in the Respect of Covid-19 Barrier Measures


The Head of Government was reacting this July 10, 2020, while presiding over the weekly government meeting dedicated to evaluating the covid-19 response plan.

Joseph Dion Ngute revealed that during his travels in recent days in Yaoundé, he witnessed the sad spectacle brandished by some compatriots who refuse to wear the face mask to protect themselves against COVID-19.

Many Cameroonians saw relaxation of some barrier measures on April 30 2020 as a sign of victory against the pandemic, and since then multiple calls to order by the authorities have done nothing. In public places, the mask is less and less raised.

At the level of bars and other places of celebration, social distancing is almost not existing .

Figures presented during this meeting by the Minister of Public Health, Malachie Manaouda show 15,173 confirmed Coronavirus cases, 11,928 people cured and close to 121,000 tests conducted.
