Taxi drivers in Buea stage Strike Denouncing Police extortion.


Taxi drivers in South west Cameroon precisely in the town of Buea stage a strike this 27th day of February 2020.

Scores of them gathered outside the Molyko Municipal stadium to denounce what they term perpetual harassment.from security forces

One of them was allegedly assaulted by policemen after refusing to give a bribe.

Union leaders in the taxi sector said they resulted to stop their engines because of numerous checkpoints on the road, accompanied by bribery.

Since Thursday morning, inhabitants of the city of Buea have been trecking to their various destinations
