Election Campaigns amidst lockdown In Bamenda


As campaigns reach peak level in the Northwest region of Cameroon with Political parties and candidates Criss crossing for votes, aspirants are seemingly finding it difficult campaigning in the region because of lock down imposed by restoration forces and supporters of ambazonia war of independence; who have sworn to do everything to frustrate the twin elections bailed for February 9.

Elecam officials in the Northwest region have assured the population that elections materials are all ready and had been sent to the various divisions where voting will to take place with gallant soldiers in place to protect the citizens who will be voting.
In a joint communique signed on the 6th of February 2020, the Commanders of the 5th Military Region and Gendarmerie Region, Brigadier General Nka Valere and Ekongwesse Divine Nnoko, reassured the population of the Northwest that there is no need for fear as they go about their daily activities given that the defence and security forces are in the region for their security and protection.
