Winners, 2020 Edition of Mount Cameroon Race of Hope Known

Curtains have been drawn in the 25th edition of the mount Cameroon race of hope that took place this Saturday in Buea chief town of the South West region

32 year old Godlove Gabsibuin from the North West region emerged winner for the fifth time after 2012, 2013, 2015, and 2019 he did the race in 4hours 34 minutes, he was closely followed by 2016 champion Simplice Ndungeh from lebialem finished second three minutes late behind Godlove, while another son from the grass field Elvis Nsahnbila came third in 4hours

In the female category, former Champion 22-year-old Tata Carine from kumbo mounted the podium alongside two daughters from the north-west region newcomer Kitan Mildred and Wirngo Kpuufanla as the best three in the female version of the foot race

The male junior category saw Saidou Habila, Yaya Iyasa and Saidou Mumini basking in glory and fame as they receive gifts and price money.

In the female junior category Northwest trio Ndifon Pamela, Tumi Macrina and Lateh Flore had a broad smile on their faces when the mounted the podium as their category’s best.

In the meantime, Two athletes from Kenya Kipson Charles and Flavoous Therestra Kwamboka received a special price of Fcfa 200.000 frs each as best male and female foreign athletes, same Flavious Therestra backed home fcfa 500.000 frs as the first athlete to arrive the mountain
